Located on West Foothill Boulevard, Swirls Soft Serve has been treating the locals of Upland to delicious soft-serve gelato for years. These are piled so high that they literally tower above the cup, and if you’d like a cone, it has to be added on top. Besides being garnished with a cone, there is also a huge selection of toppings that range from marshmallows to candies and even exotic fruit jellies.

Rosa La Michoacana

Serving up an excellent selection of Mexican-style frozen desserts, Rosa La Michoacana is a local hero. The highlights here are the paletas; essentially Mexican-style popsicles. However, in contrast to the basic popsicles we are used to in the US, these paletas come in a huge variety of deliciously crazy flavors such as a spicy mango option and a creamy rice pudding offering.

Beyond the paletas, the interesting menu at Rosa La Michoacana also features decadent cups full of fruit chunks and gelato. And, for the children, you can also purchase bolis. These are basically gelato inside a tube, offering a fun, unique way to eat your dessert.

L’Moon Creamery

Although predominantly a tea parlor, L’Moon Creamery also serves an excellent selection of soft-serve gelato which can be served in either a pot or a waffle cone. Alternatively, you can request a float using their gelato and one of their milk teas.

Sadly, L’Moon Creamery does not offer dine-in, so all of their desserts must be taken for take-out instead. This can cause some issues if you have cloth seats in your car, but luckily, with the ActiveX stain-resistant seats in the new Ford EcoSport, you can enjoy your desserts anywhere without having to worry about your upholstery.
