October 14th, 2022 by

If you’re looking for a car that not only creates its own trails but can traverse the most challenging terrain, consider checking out the 2022 Ford Bronco. This mountain goat of a vehicle comes in multiple trim levels and makes crossing rough roads a breeze.

Basics About the 2022 Bronco

The Ford Bronco comes in eight trim levels:

  • Bronco Base
  • Big Bend
  • Black Diamond
  • Outer Banks
  • Badlands
  • Wildtrak
  • Everglades
  • Raptor

You can choose between a two or four-door, with the vehicle seating four and five, respectively. The base is offered with a 10-speed automatic transmission, but you can upgrade your vehicle to a 7-speed manual with the Sasquatch Package on any two-door model. For engines, you have the option of the 2.3L EcoBoost in manual or automatic or the 2.7L EcoBoost and 3.0L EcoBoost in automatic.

New and Unique Features

New this year, the 2022 Bronco Raptor features the HOSS 4.0 Suspension with FOX Live Valve 3.1 Internal Bypass Semi-Active Dampers, 37-inch tires, and removable doors and roof.

The trim is designed for the toughest trails. The four-door trims (except Badlands and Raptor) have a new available Slid Out Tailgate that acts as a table, work surface, or a step up to the roof.

Integrated Technology

The tech in this vehicle is designed to bring you off-roading to places you’ve never dreamed of discovering. Ford’s Terrain Management System goes over any territory and comes with up to seven “Goes Over Any Terrain” (G.O.A.T.) modes. Available trail technology includes Trail Control, class-exclusive Trail Turn Assist, and Trail 1-Pedal Drive. There are available Ford Performance tube doors for the two and four-door models, aftermarket tops, roof racks, and a WARN winch kit.

The Bronco comes standard with an 8-inch infotainment display, but you can upgrade to a 12-inch. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported. The next-gen hands-free SYNC 4 system gives you total control of your vehicle’s sound system and technology with your voice.

Off-Roading Capabilities

If you’re buying a Bronco, you’re buying it to create your own trails. Thanks to the vehicle’s design and engineering process, you can go off-road with confidence. The vehicle comes standard as a 4×4 with Part-Time Selectable Engagement on the 30-inch tires. You can upgrade the Bronco Raptor to 37-inch tires for deep snow, mud, or water. The vehicle’s ground clearance ranges from 8.3 inches on the base model to 13.1 inches on the Bronco Raptor.

You won’t have trouble forging your path with the Ford Bronco. For an ultimate off-roading experience, the Raptor will be your best friend, but even the Bronco Base holds its own off-trail. Have any questions? Stop by Ford of Upland today to test drive the Bronco Outer Banks.
