The 2018 Ford EcoSport five-passenger interior features available SYNC 3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity that can be paired with an available eight-inch voice activated touch screen. Music lovers will appreciate the available B&O PLAY Premium Audio System by HARMAN.

EcoSport also offers an embedded 4G LTE modem with Wi-Fi hotspot, allowing passengers to connect up to 10 devices up to 50 feet of the vehicle. Two USB ports and a 12-volt power outlet help ensure smartphones, tablets, and other devices are always charged.

The SYNC AppLink, which is an enhanced voice-recognition communications and entertainment system, enables the new Ford+Alexa to provide access to all 25,000 of Alexa’s skills, including the ability to play music, check news reports, and add items to a shopping list from the driver’s seat.

Drivers can search for available parking ahead of time with FordPass Park, which is available in select cities, and even reserve and pay for parking with the app, while drivers can also start, unlock and locate their vehicle from anywhere using available SYNC Connect with FordPass.

Despite the high level of technology incorporated Car and Driver magazine said the vehicle featured “user-friendly tech” in their EcoSport review.

Powered by the award-winning 1.0 L EcoBoost three-cylinder with Auto Start-Stop as standard, to help raise the Ford EcoSport mpg. Also available is a 2.0-liter Ti-VCT four-cylinder with Auto Start-Stop that can be paired with the Intelligent Four-Wheel Drive system. Both engines come paired with a smooth-shifting six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.

Extensive storage and clever use of space are keywords for the all-new EcoSport, which offers as many as 30 storage pockets, bins and hooks to make efficient use of every inch of the interior. Its movable floor board and fold-away second-row seats provide a flat area to haul objects of virtually any shape or size.

Standard safety features for the all-new EcoSport include AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, Personal Safety System for driver and front passenger with dual-stage front airbags, Safety Canopy side-air curtain technology for first and second rows, side thorax airbags for rear passengers and SOS Post-Crash Alert System, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, head restraints and three-point safety belts in all five seating positions, rear view camera, LATCH – Lower Anchors and Tether Anchors for child seats, and more.
