2018 Ford Fusion - Available Trims
With trim levels available that range from a comfortable family car to a sports sedan that can take on the best that Europe has to offer, they’re all available in the 2018 Ford Fusion. Available trim levels are S, SE, Titanium, Platinum, V6 Sport.
Safety and Security
No matter which trim level of 2018 Ford Fusion you’re considering, there’s an extensive suite of active and passive safety features that are standard across all models. These include: AdvanceTrac electronic stability control, driver and front-passenger knee, front-seat side and side-curtain airbags, four-wheel Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), lower anchors and tether anchors for child seats, integrated blind spot mirrors, rearview camera, and SOS Post-Crash Alert System. For security there’s a perimeter alarm, remote keyless entry system, and the SecuriLock anti-theft system. The 2018 Ford Fusion has earned a 5-Star Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).*
2018 Ford Fusion S
A spacious and well-crafted family sedan for those on a budget, the Fusion S offers an extensive list of standard features including a Duratec 2.5 L 175 horsepower four cylinder engine, six-speed automatic transmission with rotary dial selector, air conditioning, 16-inch sparkle-silver aluminum wheels, and cruise control. The Fusion has a 2.3-inch monochrome information display on the dashboard and the enhanced SYNC connectivity and infotainment system has voice recognition and includes a basic AM/FM stereo with a single CD player, MP3 compatibility, and four speakers. Features you might not expect include push-button start, power door locks, automatic headlights, and cruise control.
2018 Ford Fusion SE
On top of those features listed above, the Ford Fusion SE offers a number of choices not available on the Fusion S, including the 181 horsepower 1.5 L turbocharged engine offers an increase in power over the standard 2.5 L engine along with improved fuel economy. For even more punch, there's the optional 2.0-liter 240 horsepower engine, which can also be paired with all-wheel drive. Specific Fusion SE upgrades over the S include 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, power-adjustable driver and passenger seats, a 4.2-inch configurable LCD driver dashboard information screen, power side mirrors, LED signature lighting, and an individual tire-pressure-monitoring system. Worth considering is the SE Technology package with Sync 3, which provides you with Ford's latest, most user-friendly interface.
2018 Ford Fusion Titanium
The 2018 Ford Fusion Titanium is the first of two luxury trims. The Titanium comes with Ford’s SYNC 3 voice-recognition communications and entertainment interface and a Sony audio system with HD radio and 12 speakers. The standard engine is a 240-hp four-cylinder EcoBoost with a six-speed SelectShift automatic with paddle shifters. Other standard Titanium features include 18-inch aluminum wheels, sports seats with leather upholstery, 10-way power driver's seat with power lumbar, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic temperature control, plus two 4.2-inch LCD screens, power side mirrors, and a reverse sensing system. Upgrades include a Ford’s Sync 3 coupled with a 12 Speaker Sony Audio System and HD Radio.
2018 Fusion Platinum
The top-of-the-line luxury trim, the 2018 Ford Fusion Platinum features include voice-activated navigation with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel link on an 8-inch LCD touchscreen. The Fusion Platinum features 19-inch polished aluminum wheels, a power moonroof, universal garage door opener, and heated and cooled premium leather front seats. Other standard safety and driver assist features include Ford’s lane-keeping system that detects travel drift and assists with staying in the lane, blind spot detection with cross-traffic alerts, rain-sensing wipers, enhanced parking assistance, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, and pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection.
2018 Fusion Sport
The 2018 Ford Fusion Sport is the only trim available with a twin-turbocharged 2.7 L EcoBoost V6 engine that develops 325 horsepower. The Sport features standard sports seats with leather upholstery and heated front seats. Exterior features on the Sport trim include a black mesh upper grille, rear decklid spoiler, and quad-tip dual exhausts. But perhaps the most exciting feature is that the characteristics of Fusion V6 Sport transforms with the simple touch of a button at the center of the car’s all-new rotary gear shift dial. Pushing it enables dramatic changes that result in maximum performance. It increases stiffness of the continuously controlled dampers, adjusts the responsiveness of the electric power-assisted steering, sets an aggressive transmission programming, with rev-matched downshifts, more responsive electronic throttle, and the paddle shifter are set to full manual control.
